Moment

I waited for him,
And prayed he'd come back.
But my door stayed shut
and the slit the corner
of my heart deepened.

And I can feel him.
His arm around me,
my hand in his.
I needed him beside me,
but he left
unwillingly.

Yet time still passes,
though each day is longer.
But I'll never forget him,
for each moment spent beside him,
was a moment to remember.

Um...when has this come up?

And good name! Fitting...

Maria first used it (in non-abbreviated form) in your "Fading" post.

I wonder if you did a search on the use of the word "praying" through all of your poems how much it would turn up...

I'll try that. Does it offend you? I'm sorry...I just thought "hoping" sounded a bit cliche. But I WILL try it!!!

It doesn't offend me, I just find it curious that you seem to use the word pray a lot in your poetry. Actually, I ran a search and only 3 posts showed up, but maybe it doesn't show instances of the word prayed? I don't know. I just like to bother you about word choice, I guess. :)

OMG WE GOT THE ANTHOLOGY IN THE MAIL TODAY!!! =D
