I'll Find You

Watery child
you open your eyes
and see yourself sitting
alone on the cold ground.
Waiting.

Lost in the night,
you cry out for someone
to find you.
I would have found you.

But something inside of you
is dying.
You're wasting away
all alone.

Hope slips away
as your tears hit the ground.
Waiting to hear
the faintest of sounds
leaves you empty.

But you don't give up yet,
you wait for me still.
But you know,
the last moments you have,
are the moments that kill.

Idk why but I LOVE the phrase "watery child".

Whew, finally got a break from those Kevin/Marco poems for a minute! I mean, Kevin is a valid subject, but for those of us who don't know him, he can become a bit tiresome...

No, actually, upon second reading, this might be a Kevin poem, with "I" being Kevin and "you" being Bela, or vice-versa. Meh, I don't know.

Or taken literally, this poem could be about a runaway child.

Or maybe you didn't mean anything by this poem and are quite surprised that I read so much into it after all.

Haha! Thanks Maria! I wanted a better way to say "Crying/Upset child". Woohoo! It worked!

Wait - I thought you guys WANTED me to write about happy stuff! You mean I've been writing about cheesy-no-depth topics that didn't exist and I didn't need to? Grr...

Nope! This is another "alter ego" poem. Both sides are me! (See "Fly Away" for details)

Actually, I'm quite glad you read into it. I like how you do that...it gives my poems actual meaning :) I love it when I get something I can think about!

There's something interesting about the tenderness of some parts of this and the apathy of others.

I see your point. Perhaps I was subconsciously inserting the highs and lows of life? Or bad situations? Interesting...

okay, i love the term "watery child"
*start rant* but i guess i dont really like this style of writing. but that is just me. plus i'm tired and my sister is playing miley cyrus which doenst help with the mood of your poems. so yeah *end rant*

Why don't you like my style of writing? Is it because I don't use those one word after thoughts, like you? I happen to like this, so does everyone else...why don't you?

actually i apologize bela. i just reread you poem and it was very good. i think it was the fact that it was late, i was exhausted, and i wasnt in the right mood to read poetry. Also miley cyrus singing in her chipper Hannah Montana voice didnt help. but i am sorry. this was very good.

Well, thank you. But if you didn't like it, all you had to do was tell me why.

Ugh, Hannah Montana...spare me the explanation. I can see why you were in such a bad mood. Apology accepted!

Eww Hannah Montana... *gets nasty taste in mouth*

Hannah Montana *hairball*

Haha! Ah, yes. It's good to be around my fellow Hannah Montana haters. It's a nice feeling.
