When You Need Me

The days pass by
and you think nothing is changing.
But while you're thinking,
the whole world is rearranging.
Take a look,
the world hasn't turned its back.

But your heart keeps stopping,
and the world keeps turning.
Your dreams have shattered,
but you keep learning.
Hold your chin up,
you know I'll stand by you.

Holding on isn't easy
when you're hanging on the edge.
I'll be here when you're ready,
don't fall off of the ledge.
I can lift you up
anytime you want me to.

It's good to hear this :) It is true that the world is always changing itself in ways that can be horribly devastating or unbelievably wonderful.

...wow that sounded hokey.

WORD VERIFICATION: hemacisc

Define please!

Bela said...

Haha, a very good hokey :) Wow, that sounded corny =P

Hemacisc - the beginning stages of a hematoma. Hey, it works...:)

Gina said...

Hematoma?

And, 11+1=12! Are you excited or what? :)

Bela said...

I'm SO excited! Things are really starting to turn out...great!

Paraphrasing "Wicked," do you believe you have been changed for the better for good? :)

As you can probably tell because I've probably been mentioning it a lot, I've been listening to Ben Folds a bunch...it's good stuff (if you don't mind the occasional profanity). I love how he can portray anything delicately in his lyrics, from American consumerism to Adelaide (a city in Australia) to breaking up. Well, delicate isn't a good word...let's just say he can express emotion about any subject in a manner that is still catchy and accessible. Ha, I sound like a pundit...or a robot. Meh.

Anyway, congrats again on the summer thing...you definitely need to post some stuff you work on at the other place on here or the CWP site. I'm so happy for you! :D

Haha! Thank you! Of course I'll keep posting, Gina! (it's what I do :D)

I just realized it's not just a writing course, it's like school in the summer...odd, but exciting!

In response to your poll, what is "the Coffee Shop"?

Bela said...

Ah, so basically you go to the bottom of your Dashboard and click on Blogger Help Group. When the page loads, you'll see a small button that says "The Coffee Shop" near the bottom of the page on the right side. It's basically where bloggers can advertise, talk to other bloggers (with safety :D), or ask for help...from the experienced :)

Aw HAW! Well, I'm glad things are looking up :D

As am I :)

Wow, great word verification: pandead. Is that like deadpan in reverse? Dead as a pan?

Bela said...

...Or the pan is dead...either one :)

Haha! I'm currently in Canada...where the moose are :D

Gina said...

Again? Yay, Canada!

Bela said...

Haha! Yup, I go there a lot...but I'm back :)

Gina said...

Oh, Canada...my histoyr teacher told me about one time when a guy was arrested on suspicion of having a pie in the trunk of his car by Mounties. More to the story, but no time now---APUSH exam this Friday! As Charlie Brown would say, "AUUGH!"

Gina said...

An immense pressure has been lifted. I took my AP exam today, I think I did pretty darn well. :) Now I am much freer to come talk with you here. So, how's the book?

Bela said...

Hello there :)
Yay! Do you think you did well? Hmm...now I'm going to have to post more often...:)
The book is going great, thanks! I have two more chapters left to edit before my Mom and Dad can read it and make sure I'm not skipping over anything that might make sense in my head :)

Gina said...

Nice, nice... hope all goes well with the editing process. I assume you've done the old proofreading trick of reading it out loud? It's hokey, but it really does work. I'm thinking of not going to CWP this summer...

Yes, I think I did pretty well...I'm not entirely satisfied with my essays, but then again, it's impossible to write three beautiful essays in the span of two hours and ten minutes, without a break. :P

Bela said...

Aw, is it because I'M not going to be there? *bats eyelashes hopefully*

=)

Yeah, it must be hard...luckily, it's over...

It IS over, right?

Please?

Maybe...?

Gina said...

Yes, it is QUITE over by now. :)

WORD VERIFICATION: psycound

Gina said...

Well, it IS true that I wouldn't have your incredibly fascinating life to discuss... but also, I don't know...maybe it's time to do something different. But I might go again anyway. I guess I need to decide soon :P

How is the Bela doing?

WORD VERIFICATION: nonalas
A word used by French-British people with very little time, as in:
Pierre: Did you find the fish?
Jacqueline: Nonalas!

Bela said...

Haha! I like that one!

The Bela is fine, how's the Gina? Haha, actually I've been pressed for poem ideas lately...not feeling "the flow"...you know what I mean?

...But I finished editing the book, now I just need to have my sister and the parental units read it, and I'm all set!
