In the End

Four minutes ago,
I'll never see you again.
The clock keeps ticking,
this could be the end.
How long will it be
before we disappear?

There's a world I see inside you,
it's waiting to come to life.
You've always been a dreamer,
but reality was in your eyes.
Clear away the cobwebs,
do you see me for who I am?

We only have a minute,
I won't take somebody's place.
Turn around for a moment,
can you recognize my face?
Don't you think we've waited
long enough to know?

There's no time left for us,
the clock has run out.
There's no more time left
to wonder or doubt.
Will you be there for me
in the end?

Away From Here

Take my hand,
let's run away.
There's no one here,
no reason to stay.
Come run with me,
maybe we'll float to the stars.

We found a way when we began.
We've reached the edge,
let's jump while we can.
If we make it through,
I'd love to tell them all.

Keep your chin up,
don't look down.
We're falling fast,
let's hope we don't drown.
Those tears of yours
don't ever seem to stop.

There's not a trace,
where have we been?
What kind of hope
can we find within?
There's a fading sadness,
will we ever be the same?

Along the Way

A thousand tears
I'll cry for you.
It's been so long,
it came so soon.
Did we miss it somehow,
did we see it along the way?

This road has crumbled,
there's a hole in the moon.
We walked the line
and fell right through.
Sometimes I wonder,
what if we could fly?

Let's find a place
where we can escape.
I'll take you with me,
we'll go away.
Just take my hand,
I'll guide you through the dark.

It's a long road,
do you think you can make it?
You fake a smile,
but can you take it?
Even if you fall,
I'll carry you.

Don't tell me
that it's too late.
I know you're listening,
I know you're awake.
Can't we pave the way
once again?

Maybe You Can Help Me...

Hi everyone,
As you can see, this isn't exactly a poem.
Just wanted to ask a couple of questions,
for those of you that are willing to answer.

Well, basically I've added a bit of a minor
plot twist in my book so as to not make it cliche.
But, because I want to keep my book from ending
on a "cliche-note" (haha!), I need to make sure I don't
have a cliche sort of ending...obviously. My my my,
I'm a bit redundant today...

But really, I need feedback. Gina, Maria, Maddie...
(and I think Kenzie...)
You all know about it. But if any of my other blogger
buddies want to help out and need a hint, I'm here!

That's all, folks!
And please, just this once,
put your heart on THIS paper!
(Work with me here, I know it's not really paper...)

Little Girl

Isn't anybody going to listen
to my story?
I've lost myself from writing
it over and over again.

Well, have you seen her face?
Is her smile unknown?
Is she so full of innocence,
from a world never shown?

Have you heard her calling,
beckoning to you?
Have you looked for the girl
with the smile of truth?

Can you save her from sorrow?
can you erase her past?
Will you reach out and hold her,
or just bring her back?

This little girl is yours,
don't let her run from a chance.
Find her, help her,
and maybe she'll love you again.

Fade Away

You have faded me.
I'm disappearing
under the night sky.
You have erased me,
and I'm gone.
Into a world of spaces
in my mind.

I'm so alone,
so lost without you.
I'm dying and trying
to make it home.
And I'm fighting my way
back to you.

Am I out of reach?
Am I on my own?
Have you left me alone
in a world out of time?
Did you see what I knew
through my eyes?

Changing Me

Second chances don't matter
when people choose not to change.
The truth hides in their eyes,
but it's constantly rearranged.

It's hanging on their tongues,
it's lying on their backs.
The burden they choose to carry
will bring about the courage they lack.

You've tried so hard,
but you have failed to change me.
Keep your eyes open for now
and maybe you'll find the key.

But for now stay in your corner
and continue to slip through the cracks.
But when you turn your back to me,
remember there's no turning back.
